An explosion injured 516 people in the port city of Bandar Abbas in southern Iran, according to a government spokesperson for emergency services.

The Iranian state media outlet Tasnim first reported the news and there have not been any casualties confirmed, according to CNN. 

Photos from the scene show thick clouds of smoke coming from the complex.

Other photos show people with injuries being carried away on stretchers.
