Pope Francis' is in transit to his final resting place after his funeral mass in Rome on Saturday.

About 250,000 people came to Rome for the service, according to the Vatican. 

The service at St. Peter’s Basilica lasted 2 hours and 10 minutes.

Pope Francis’ coffin will be transferred to Rome’s Basilica di Santa Maria Maggiore.

Bells were ringing at the burial site ahead of the coffin's arrival.
