German investigators and a European police agency worked together to shut down a large pedophile platform that had millions of users and was distributing images of child sexual abuse.

German investigators said Wednesday that the streaming service "KidFlix" was shut down and was "one of the biggest blows against child pornography in recent years," according to CBS News.

While the investigation was headed by German police, it was supported by 38 other countries, including the U.S., Canada and Australia under the coordination of Europol, the European police agency.

The Bavarian police force said that "KidFlix" hosted over 91,000 videos that had images of child sexual abuse.

Last month, police carried out searches in 31 countries, making it the "largest operation ever" organized by Europol.
