Michael Waltz: Europe must take the lead on its own security needs
National Security Advisor Michael Waltz says at the start of President Donald Trump's first administration, approximately half a dozen members of NATO were committing the minimum 2% of their GDP on defense spending. “That doubled under his first term. He is going to continue to demand 5% of their GDP heading into a big NATO Summit this year,” he says. Waltz emphasizes the need for Europe to step up and take the lead on their own national security.
