Infowars writer fatally shot in alleged car burglary in Texas
Jamie White's family members believe that the attack was not targeted for his affiliation with Infowars, because he had been targeted by burglars before.
Infowars writer Jamie White was killed on Sunday night in what appears to be a car burglary that went wrong, law enforcement officials in Austin, Texas, revealed on Tuesday.
News of White's alleged murder was first confirmed by Infowars on Monday night. It allegedly occurred when he stumbled across suspects who may have been breaking into his car, prompting them to open fire.
He was discovered just before midnight with multiple gunshot wounds, in the parking lot of his apartment complex, Austin police said, the New York Post reported.
“We are deeply saddened to inform you that InfoWars Reporter Jamie White was brutally murdered around midnight Sunday night,” Infowars founder Alex Jones wrote on Monday. “We pledge that Jamie’s tragic death will not be in vain, and those responsible for this senseless violence will be brought to justice."
White's family members believe that the attack was not targeted for his affiliation with Infowars, because he had been targeted by burglars before.
“He was shot by a person or persons trying to break into his car for the second time,” White’s sister Kelly Kneale told The Independent. “A tragic accident, but we haven’t heard much else. I hope whoever took his life is caught and brought to justice. My father and I are devastated, to say the least.”
Jones said that he blames the policies of Austin's progressive, George Soros-backed District Attorney Jose Garza.
