President Donald Trump late Monday night called on Rep. Thomas Massie, R-Ky., to be primaried due to him refusing to vote for the continuing resolution set to be voted on this week.

"Congressman Thomas Massie, of beautiful Kentucky, is an automatic “NO” vote on just about everything, despite the fact that he has always voted for Continuing Resolutions in the past," Trump wrote on TRUTH Social. "HE SHOULD BE PRIMARIED, and I will lead the charge against him."

Massie on Monday said that he would not vote for the continuing resolution that would fund the government through September.

If House members pass the legislation, they have to meet with Senate negotiators in order to pass it and then get it to Trump's desk.

Trump said Massie reminded him of Liz Cheney "before her historic, record breaking fall (loss!)."

Massie responded to Trump's call for him to be primaried on the social media platform, X.

"Someone thinks they can control my voting card by threatening my re-election," Massie wrote on social media. "Guess what? Doesn’t work on me. Three times I’ve had a challenger who tried to be more MAGA than me. None busted 25% because my constituents prefer transparency and principles over blind allegiance."
