Netanayahu praises Trump's plan to take over Gaza and rebuild area as a 'remarkable idea'

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Wednesday praised President Donald Trump's plan to evacuate Gaza and rebuild the area, claiming it was a "remarkable idea" and the "first good one" he has heard about the region.
Trump proposed on Tuesday night that the United States would take over the Gaza Strip and be responsible for clearing all of the unexploded ordinances. The area has been largely devastated by Israel's war with the terrorist organization Hamas.
The proposal and acceptance occurred after Trump met with Netanyahu at the White House on Tuesday, to discuss bringing an end to the war. Trump's team has also been praised for helping solidify a hostage exchange and ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas before the president took office.
Netanyahu told Fox News' Sean Hannity that the idea could "change history" as Hamas continues to control aspects of the region, and should be "pursued."
“The actual idea of allowing first Gazans who want to leave to leave. I mean, what’s wrong with that?” Netanyahu said. “They can leave, and they can then come back, they can relocate and come back. But you have to rebuild Gaza. This is the first good idea that I’ve heard. It’s a remarkable idea ... I think it will create a different future for everyone.”
Trump had urged the roughly 2 million Palestinians to leave the area and said they should resettle in neighboring countries while the U.S. dealt with the unexploded ordinances, which would get rid of destroyed buildings. But he promised to build the region back more prosperous than ever.
The president added that he had not ruled out deploying U.S. troops in Gaza “if it’s necessary.”
