Former first lady Michelle Obama will skip Trump inauguration, after missing Carter state funeral
Former Presidents Barack Obama, Bill Clinton and George Bush will be at the inauguration.
Former first lady Michelle Obama reportedly will not attend President-elect Donald Trump's inauguration next week
Mrs. Obama's decision no to attend the Jan. 20 inauguration was confirmed by the Office of Barack and Michelle Obama to the Associated Press without explanation.
The country's four other living presidents Joe Biden, George W. Bush, Bill Clinton and Barack Obama, Mrs. Obama's husband, plan to attend the inauguration. Biden will attend in his official capacity as outgoing president.
Former first ladies Laura Bush and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton also plan to attend.
Mrs. Obama also did not attend the state funeral last week for President Jimmy Carter. She was in Hawaii and reportedly had a scheduling conflict.
