A Rasmussen Reports poll published Tuesday found that the majority of Americans believe that federal judges who abuse their power pose a "threat to democracy," echoing Arizona GOP Rep. Eli Crane.
Crane made the comment when announcing that he was drafting articles of impeachment against a federal judge who blocked the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) from accessing the Treasury Department payment records.
The Rasmussen Reports poll, conducted last week, found that 56% of respondents agreed with the sentiment, including 35% who strongly agree. Just 36% said they disagree with Crane's observation.
The poll surveyed 1,233 likely U.S. voters nationwide, and had a 3% margin of error.
