The majority of Republican respondents in a poll published Monday said that they believe the attacks on Tesla and its vehicles constitute domestic terrorism, while the majority of Democrats disagree.

The poll, conducted by Napolitan News Service, found that a total of 46% of respondents believe it constituted a form of domestic terrorism, including 67% of Republicans. A total of 39% said they do not believe it counts, and 57% of Democrats said it does not, according to data shared with Just The News.

The survey comes after a series of attacks on Tesla vehicles, sales centers, and supercharging stations that have taken place in 9 states.

Respondents were also torn on whether the attacks are coordinated (44%) or the result of angry individuals (46%). Most Democrats (67%) said it was angry individuals, while 63% of Republicans believe they were coordinated.

The majority of respondents do not believe the attacks were or could be justified, with just 19% claiming it could be.

"All data in this survey highlights the sad reality that opinions about Tesla-- like those of SpaceX-- are driven by partisan politics," the news service said.

The survey polled 1,000 registered voters on March 26 and 27, and has a 3.1% margin of error.
