The Trump Media & Technology Group (TMTG), which operates Truth Social, is leaving Delaware for Florida as the mid-Atlantic state increasingly becomes the venue for corporate activism and legal challenges.

Florida Attorney General James Ulthmeier confirmed the move in an X post that included the Articles of Conversion for the company, saying "[a]s Delaware becomes the home of corporate lawfare by woke activists, [Donald Trump] knows that Florida is where woke goes to die, free speech thrives, and businesses can get back to the business of doing business."

"Welcome home to the Free State of Florida, Truth Social!" he added.

The move follows Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) head Elon Musk battling a challenge to his compensation package as Tesla CEO in the state, with a judge ruling he was not entitled to it despite a shareholder vote.

The state was historically an incorporation hub, but has faced a so-called "Dexit" movement in recent years, with companies like Tesla, Tripadvsior, Roblox, and Dropbox leaving the state or announcing plans to do so, Newsweek reported.
