A box truck in Boston's Chinatown neighborhood crashed Tuesday into a building, resulting in several people being injured.

Boston EMS reported that four people had to go to hospitals while two others were treated at the scene, but didn't go to the hospital.

The incident happened at about 12:45 p.m. The Boston Police Department said the street on which the incident happened, Kneeland Street, is closed and advised drivers to go an alternative route.

The Boston Fire Department had to rescue the driver of the truck due to him being trapped in the cab of the vehicle.

"Firefighters used extrication tools to remove the trapped driver from the cab of the truck," the Boston Fire Department wrote on the social media platform, X.

Authorities are currently investigating if the crash was due to the driver having a medical emergency, ABC News reports.
