Feds find another classified document at Pence home following search

The Department of Justice on Friday discovered an additional classified document at the Indiana home of former Vice President Mike Pence following a search of the premises, a staffer for Pence confirmed.

FBI agents arrived Friday morning after negotiating with his legal team to arrange the search. Pence announce earlier this year that he had discovered classified materials at his home after searching the building in response to a slew of document discoveries at locations  used by President Joe Biden.

The Friday search turned up "one document with classified markings and six additional pages without such markings that were not discovered in the initial review by the vice president’s counsel," according to Pence adviser Devin O'Malley, per The Hill. "The vice president has directed his legal team to continue its cooperation with appropriate authorities and to be fully transparent through the conclusion of this matter."

Pence was not present for the search and was represented by one of his attorneys.

The former vice president appeared to have egg on his face upon making the original announcement as he had forcefully condemned former President Donald Trump's own alleged mishandling of classified materials following the FBI's Aug. 8, 2022, raid on his Mar-a-Lago estate.

In a November 2022 interview with ABC News's David Muir, Pence denied taking classified materials from the White House and contended that "there would be no reason" for anyone to do so.
