Bill Gates donated $50 million to pro-Harris Super PAC: Report
Gates has not publicly confirmed the donation amount
Microsoft founder Bill Gates, one of the richest people in the world, donated $50 million to a super PAC supporting Vice President Kamala Harris for president, according to sources cited in a New York Times report.
Gates has not publicly confirmed the donation amount, which was reportedly made to Future Forward USA Action, which is the nonprofit arm of the Democratic super PAC Future Forward.
“I support candidates who demonstrate a clear commitment to improving health care, reducing poverty and fighting climate change in the U.S. and around the world,” Gates told the NYT. “I have a long history of working with leaders across the political spectrum, but this election is different, with unprecedented significance for Americans and the most vulnerable people around the world.”
Gates’ ex-wife Melinda French Gates has endorsed Harris and gave an undisclosed amount to her campaign.
Elon Musk, the wealthiest person in the world, according to Forbes, has donated about $75 million in support of former President Trump's 2024 campaign through his America PAC.
