Pence say Biden's 'weakness' on foreign policy has contributed to Israel, Hamas war

Former Vice President Mike Pence says President Biden's "weakness" in foreign affairs has contributed to deadly fighting between Israel and the Palestinian-affiliated Hamas militant group. 

In an opinion piece published Monday in "The National Review, " Pence argued Biden is destroying the Trump-Pence administration's successful efforts to secure peace between Israel and its neighbors.

"Instead of seeking peace through strength, he has invited violence through weakness," Pence writes. "Every tepid statement uttered by the Biden-Harris administration is built on a false equivalency between Israel and Hamas."

Israel and Hamas, headquartered in the Gaza Strip bordering Israel, have on Tuesday entered their ninth day of deadly fighting. The sides have reportedly launched thousands of rockets that have leveled buildings, killed hundreds and injured over 1,000 residents – with no sign of peace.

Pence argued his administration's choice to stand by Israel showed that together they would respond to enemies with force, which the former vice president thinks contributed to years or relative peace in the region until now.
