Liz Truss bids farewell as outgoing Prime Minister of the UK

Outgoing British Prime Minister, Liz Truss, gave her final address at Downing Street in London on Tuesday, October 25th. Truss said it was a "huge honor" to serve her country in a final speech after just 45 days in office. She also wished her successor, Rishi Sunak, "every success," as he takes up the role of Britain’s third prime minister in seven weeks. Truss concluded her farewell speech with a message of hope and optimism: “Our country continues to battle through a storm but I believe in Britain, I believe in British people, and I know that brighter days lie ahead."
