James Burling: No amount of price controls or subsidies will solve the housing crisis
“Nowhere to Live” author James Burling says almost a century of poor government policies and strict zoning restrictions have failed to allow the supply of new housing to meet the demand. “No amount of price controls or subsidies to buyers is going to solve that problem until we allow the homes to be built that people need to be built,” he says.
