Former Transportation Sec. gives Buttigieg “an A” on handling Ohio train derailment
Former Secretary of Transportation Ray LaHood says the key to moving forward with safety regulations following the train derailment in Ohio is with the National Transportation Safety Board’s investigation. “…the [Department of Transportation] needs to take that report and implement whatever rules and regulations are necessary to make the freight rail the safest it can possibly be,” says LaHood. LaHood says Pete Buttigieg has done well handling the situation.
