CIA official: The dangers of climate change are a ’problem for right now'

CIA Associate Director for Military Affairs Lt. Gen. John D. Caine warned of the increasing threat of climate change during remarks at the National Guard Bureau State Partnership Program’s 30th Anniversary Conference in Maryland Monday. “Frankly, climate change supercharges almost every other global threat from energy to health to food insecurity…whether your country has miles of coastline or is surrounded by beautiful mountains, the dangers of climate change are no longer a problem for the future. They're a problem for right now,” said Lt. Gen. Caine.
