Trump calls to boot Harris, reinstate Biden over CBS editing scandal

Former President Donald Trump on Thursday called for reinstating President Joe Biden to the Democratic ticket and ending Vice President Kamala Harris's White House bid over her edited interview with CBS News's "60 Minutes."

Harris and the network have come under fire over their interview due to the network allegedly editing portions of her responses to make her sound more coherent. The issue became the subject of a complaint with the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) this week, when the Center for American Rights filed a complaint seeking the release of the full transcript of the unedited interview.

"Kamala should be investigated and forced off the Campaign, and Joe Biden allowed to take back his rightful place (He got 14 Million Primary Votes, she got none!). THIS WHOLE SORDID AND FRAUDULENT EVENT IS A THREAT TO DEMOCRACY!" Trump posted on Truth Social.

He further reiterated his prior call to revoke and rebid the network's broadcast license, saying "60 MINUTES SHOULD BE IMMEDIATELY TAKEN OFF THE AIR - ELECTION INTERFERENCE. CBS SHOULD LOSE ITS LICENSE. THIS IS THE BIGGEST SCANDAL IN BROADCAST HISTORY."

Last week, Trump called to revoke and rebid the broadcast licenses of all major networks.
