Country singer Colt Ford hospitalized after heart attack following concert in Arizona

Country music singer Colt Ford suffered a heart attack and had to be hospitalized following his concert Thursday night in Gilbert, Arizona. 

The 53-year-old singer was transported to Banner Desert Medical Center in Mesa after the concert and placed in the Intensive Care Unit.

He was later transported to the Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale, according to the New York Post, where he is currently in stable, but critical condition. 

Ford performed his concert at Dierks Bentley’s Whiskey Row restaurant and bar just before suffering the heart attack. 

Ford has collaborated with other country artists including Willie Nelson, Lady A, Jake Owen and Toby Keith. 

His real name is Jason Farris Brown and he co-wrote “Dirt Road Anthem” with Brantley Gilbert.

Ford, a Georgia native, was a professional golfer before finding his passion for country and hip hop music.
