MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough said on Thursday that the Biden campaign thinks that former President Barack Obama is working quietly to orchestrate the replacement of President Joe Biden as the 2024 Democratic presidential nominee.

"The Biden Campaign and many Democrat officials do believe Barack Obama is quietly working behind the scenes to orchestrate this," he said on Morning Joe.

“Joe Biden is deeply resentful of his treatment. Not only from the Obama staff but also the way he was pushed aside for Hillary Clinton...He’s always felt like an outsider, always felt like people look down upon him,” Scarborough added.

The Biden campaign is reportedly polling how Vice President Kamala Harris would perform in a head-to-head match-up with former President Donald Trump.

Scarborough said the Obamas and the Clintons won't be able to convince Biden to step aside. He also said that David Axelrod, former advisor to Obama in the White House, has publicly criticized Biden over the years. Scarborough said politicians like former Sen. Chris Dodd, D-Conn., and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., would have a better chance of influencing Biden's decisions.
