Correction: Story comparing Hobbs-Lake 'test' results to actual voting tally erred
Actual current results in Arizona gubernatorial contest between Katie Hobbs and Kari Lake are not similar to "test" results accidentally aired by an Arizona news station. Lake is much closer to Hobbs in the actual current tally than in the the dummy results.
An earlier version of this story inaccurately reported that the current recorded results in the Arizona gubernatorial race between Katie Hobbs and Kari Lake were "notably close" to "test" results of that race accidentally aired last month on Arizona's Fox 10 news station. The actual results, however, are not especialy close to those dummy results.
As of 8:04 p.m. on Nov. 15, Hobbs was leading Lake in the actual race by 50.35% to 49.65%, with an estimated 98% of the vote counted, according to Decision Desk HQ. In the test result, by contrast, Hobbs led Lake by 53% to 47%.
We regret the error.
