Border militia leader slams 'failure of DHS' amid surge in crossings
"It's one of the largest in our history, one of the largest human trafficking ruses paid for by your tax dollars. And it's a shame. It's a failure on the Biden regime. It's a failure of DHS, and it's a failure for DOJ," he asserted.
Amid an unprecedented surge in illegal border crossings under the Biden administration, the leader of a Christian militia working to assist law enforcement in the area is livid over the humanitarian situation and mass trafficking of children.
Samuel Hall is the founder and president of the Patriots for America Militia, a Christian organization that patrols the southern border and works to assist federal law enforcement in addressing illegal crossings. The organization does not arrest or detain illegal entrants to the U.S. interior.
Speaking on the "Just the News, No Noise" television show on Friday, Hall pointed the often poor health of the new arrivals his personnel encounter and expressed frustrations that federal policymakers had enabled a large-scale trafficking operation.
"You know, these are the families, water, food, if they need medical care, a lot of the women have been completely ... just abused to say the least, multiple cases of women who come across you have just been raped multiple times, little girls, unaccompanied minors now we have ... almost 86,000 unaccounted for minors," he lamented.
"These are children, that the ORR [Office of Refugee Resettlement] has no clue where they're at. And director [Robin] Marcos when [s]he was questioned by it was Representative [Scott] Perry, [s]he could not give a percentage," Hall went on. "These are at almost 86,000 children that are completely unaccounted for, that they have no clue where they're at. And that is almost 41% of all of the unaccompanied minors that are coming across this border."
Hall appeared to refer to an April 2023 hearing in which Marcos testified before the House Oversight Subcommittee on National Security, the Border, and Foreign Affairs.
"It's one of the largest, in our history, one of the largest human trafficking ruses paid for by your tax dollars. And it's a shame. It's a failure on the Biden regime. It's a failure of DHS, and it's a failure for DOJ," he asserted.
Earlier in the segment, Hall outlined the nature of his organization, saying "[w]e're a Christian, Christ-centered organization. I know that that word militia kind of gives a bad rap. And, you know, our predecessors really didn't do us too many favors in that regard.
"We are not white supremacists. We are not radicals or vigilantes, we do follow the law. And we stay on the constitutional side of law as well. And we work very well, you know, on an unofficial capacity with law enforcement down on the border, to help them do their jobs easier as well," he also said.
