A number of world leaders are attempting to get invitations to Trump inauguration: report
Chinese President Xi Jinping was invited but turned down the invitation. Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni said she will try to make it.
Leaders from around the globe are attempting to get an invitation to the upcoming inauguration of President-elect Donald Trump, according to reports.
“They’re all going crazy. Chile, Peru, Nigeria, Mozambique,” a registered foreign agent told the New York Post.
The agent said that he had to tell certain leaders that there was no way they could make it there.
“I tell my clients the truth," the agent said. "You’re not going to be able to go. If you’re Costa Rica, there is just no way you get invited to this inauguration. What is the value add? You are not bringing business or major companies from your country.”
Some world leaders who have been invited to the inauguration include Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, who said she will try to make it, Argentinian President Javier Milei and El Salvadorian President Nayib Bukele.
Chinese President Xi Jinping was invited but turned down the invitation. The inauguration will take place on Jan. 20.
Ukraine president Volodymyr Zelensky has publicly expressed an interest in attending. While Trump has not formally invited him, he said last month that “if he’d like to come, I’d like to have him.”
