America still has some work to do when it comes to equality

A majority feel America is doing well when it comes to equality, but a large minority doesn't feel the same way

As the U.S. takes on the sticky issue of racial injustice, there's a strong belief that equality is something that we should be striving for in society.

However, 46% of voters say that America doesn’t live up to that founding ideal.

These sentiments could be exacerbated by the current civil rights problems and Black Lives Matter protests.

But, a majority of voters think America is doing well when it comes to equality, with 52% think America is doing “somewhat well” or “very well.”
