The Senate on Wednesday confirmed former GOP congressman Lee Zeldin to lead the Environmental Protection Agency.
Zeldin was nominated for the post by President Donald Trump following about eight years serving New York's 1st Congressional District and a gallant 2022 bid to become governor of a largely Democratic state, losing by just five percentage points.
He is also an Army Reserve lieutenant colonel, according to Fox News.
