After embarking on first foreign trip as president, Biden gave speech at RAF Mildenhall in England

"At every point along the way, we're gonna make it clear, that the United States is back," the president said.

President Biden delivered a speech at RAF Mildenhall in England on Wednesday during his first overseas trip since assuming office earlier this year.

"I'm heading to the G7, then to the NATO ministerial, and then to meet with Mr. Putin to let him know what I want him to know," Biden said. "At every point along the way, we're gonna make it clear, that the United States is back and democracies of the world are standing together to tackle the toughest challenges and the issues that matter most to our future — that we're committed to leading with strength, defending our values and delivering for our people."

During the trip Biden is slated to meet with British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, participate in the G7 Summit in England, engage in bilateral meetings with other G7 leaders and meet with Queen Elizabeth, according to the White House.

The president will also attend a NATO Summit in Brussels, Belgium, meet Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, attend a U.S.-EU Summit and meet with Belgium's King Philippe and Prime Minister Alexander De Croo. Biden will engage with Russian President Vladimir Putin during a bilateral summit in Geneva, Switzerland. The U.S. president is also slated to meet with Swiss President Guy Parmelin and Foreign Minister Ignazio Cassis, according to the White House.
