My Pillow's Lindell to sue Kevin McCarthy over exclusive release of Jan. 6 footage to Tucker Carlson

My Pillow CEO Mike Lindell announced this week that he plans to sue House Speaker Kevin McCarthy over his release of Jan. 6 surveillance footage exclusively to Tucker Carlson.

Lindell appeared on Steve Bannon's "War Room" Thursday during which he announced that LindellTV would sue for the footage on the basis of both the First and Fourteenth Amendments. "We're injured by not having access," he contended.

McCarthy released 41,000 hours of footage from the Jan. 6 protests exclusively to Fox News's Tucker Carlson earlier this month, prompting outrage from Democrats. The House Speaker, meanwhile, contended that he was fulfilling a promise to the American people that they should be able to see everything for themselves.

Bannon countered that McCarthy gave Carlson the footage because he had the staff to review it thoroughly and asked why Lindell chose to fight that particular legal battle.

Lindell responded that he took exception to the exclusive release, expressing concerns that Fox News might bury the story. "Fox is gonna sift through it and only put out what they want," he contended.

"Why does just Fox get this? So they can cover it up even more?" he asked. "It's disgusting. All of us, including War Room, we all need to see what’s on those tapes, and we need to see all of them."

"We're gonna run this all the way to the Supreme Court," Lindell vowed.
