A federal judge in Massachusetts on Friday extended his ruling from last month that stopped the Trump administration from implementing a policy to accelerate the process of deporting illegal migrants.

Last month, the judge, Brian Murphy, for the U.S. District Court, District of Massachusetts, issued an order that temporarily blocked the administration from accelerating deportations, interfering with its ability to remove migrants subject to final orders, including some who have legal protections preventing them from being sent back to their countries of origin, according to Reuters.

On Friday, Murphy issued a preliminary injunction to keep the order in place until the litigation is resolved.
