Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg has purchased a $23 million home in Washington, D.C., where President Trump and his new economic policies appear to be emerging as increasingly important to CEOs and their business interests.

A Meta spokesperson confirmed Wednesday to the news outlet Politico that Zuckerberg and his wife purchased the home in the city's Woodland Normanstone neighborhood, near the vice president's residence.

“Mark and Priscilla have purchased a home in D.C., which will allow Mark to spend more time there as Meta continues the work on policy issues related to American technology leadership,” the spokesperson said.

Zuckerberg also owns property in Hawaii, Palo Alto and Lake Tahoe.

After President Donald Trump was sworn in as president, Zuckerberg met with him and other members of the administration in January.

Zuckerberg along with Jeff Bezos and Elon Musk attended Trump's inauguration.

Trump in the past has criticized Zuckerberg for donating hundreds of millions of dollars in 2020 to help with election infrastructure. At one point, he claimed Zuckerberg should go to jail for election interference
