Former Planned Parenthood President Cecile Richards passed away, her family said in a Monday statement.

“This morning our beloved Cecile passed away at home, surrounded by her family and her ever-loyal dog, Ollie," Richards' family said in a statement, according to CNN. "Our hearts are broken today but no words can do justice to the joy she brought to our lives."

Richards was diagnosed with glioblastoma, which is an incurable brain cancer in 2023.

Her family said they were thankful for the doctors who took care of her in her last days.

Richards was president of Planned Parenthood from 2006 to 2018.
