Lara Trump joins Fox News as weekend host
The former RNC co-chair will host her own program, titled "My View with Lara Trump," which will air on Saturday nights, from 9 to 10 p.m. Eastern. The program will debut on Feb. 22.
Fox News on Wednesday announced that President Donald Trump's daughter-in-law Lara Trump has joined the network as a weekend host of her own show, which is set to premiere later this month.
Lara Trump previously served as co-chair of the Republican National Committee (RNC), where she played a prominent role in Donald Trump's reelection, and was considered a frontrunner to replace Secretary of State Marco Rubio in the Senate, before she removed her name from contention.
The move is the latest sign of the network's growing relationship with the Trump administration. The president chose several Fox News hosts for key positions in his new administration, including Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy.
The former RNC co-chair will host her own program, titled "My View with Lara Trump," which will air on Saturday nights, from 9 to 10 p.m. Eastern. The program will debut on Feb. 22.
“I’m thrilled to bring my voice back to FOX News, talk directly with the American people, and highlight what makes this country so great," Lara Trump said in a statement. "As I cover the success of The Golden Age of America, I look forward to where this time will lead our country and where this opportunity will lead me in the future.”
The program will include "big picture analysis," of relevant topics in conservative news, according to the network.
“A gifted communicator who knows how to connect to the viewers, successful entrepreneur and working mother, Lara’s innate understanding of the American public and today’s political landscape will be a compelling addition to our weekend lineup," Fox News Media CEO Suzanne Scott said in a statement.
The new program will take "One Nation with Brian Kilmeade's" slot, which will now air on Sunday nights, from 10-11 p.m. Eastern.
