With the Neutral Zone Infraction, Just the News tries to do its part to maintain the line between fact and opinion in American journalism by blowing the whistle each week on an egregious example of slanted coverage by reporters. This week there are two offenders: Nia-Malika Henderson and Wolf Blitzer.

CNN Senior Political Reporter Nia-Malika Henderson during a July 14 television appearance gave President Trump a failing grade for his handling of the coronavirus crisis.

Her comment came in response to question from CNN Anchor Wolf Blitzer, who asked, "How badly is he failing right now in dealing with this spiraling crisis?"

"He's doing terribly. I mean the president gets an F in terms of the handling of this global pandemic," Henderson responded. "You see in some of these states across the country the cases are going up."

President Trump on Tuesday spoke from the White House Rose Garden and then took some questions from reporters. Blitzer interrupted Henderson's remarks as the show switched to air President Trump responding to questions, but Henderson appeared on the program again later.

"But my goodness, I mean I imagine if there was a crowd there of supporters they would be incredibly bored by this speech and uninspired by the lack of vision for ... what he wants to do for his voters, what he wants to do for the county going forward," she said.

A journalist's role is simply to report the news, not to deliver opinions or frame questions so as to presuppose the failure of leaders and leave open to discussion only the degree of failure.

Just the News reached out to CNN for comment but has not yet received a response.
