Iran's supreme leader warns Israel, US of potential 'crushing response' following Israeli attacks
Gen. Mohammad Ali Naini, a spokesman for Iran’s paramilitary Revolutionary Guard, said that Iran's response “will be wise, powerful and beyond the enemy’s comprehension.”
Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei on Saturday threatened the United States and Israel over recent Israeli attacks on Iran and its allies.
“The enemies, whether the Zionist regime or the United States of America, will definitely receive a crushing response to what they are doing to Iran and the Iranian nation and to the resistance front,” Khamenei said in a video that was released by Iranian state media.
He did not give the specific timing of the attack and the scope is not known as of now, according to The Associated Press.
Last month, Israel launched strikes in retaliation against Iran for an earlier attack when Iran launched 180 ballistic missiles towards Israel on Oct. 1, that were mostly intercepted with the help of the United States.
While Israel did notify the U.S. before it conducted strikes against Iran, the U.S. did not have any involvement in the operation.
