Hamas to release US-Israeli hostage Edan Alexander along with four bodies
As of now it is not known what day Alexander will be released.
Hamas said Friday it would release U.S.-Israeli hostage Edan Alexander who is being held captive in the Gaza Strip.
The 21-year-old Alexander will be released with the bodies of four other hostages. The Hostages and Missing Families Forum reports that Alexander has been held hostage for 525 days.
Alexander served in the Israeli Defense Forces after college. He was born in Israel, but his parents moved to the U.S. shortly after he was born, according to Fox News.
When Hamas attacked Israel on Oct. 7, 2023, Alexander was serving in the IDF’s Golani Brigade when he was taken hostage.
The date of Alexander's release and the names of the deceased hostages has yet to be made public.
