Drone strike launched toward Israeli prime minister Netanyahu’s house but inflicts no casualties

A drone was launched Saturday toward Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s home but inflicted no casualties as war raged on two fronts after the killing of the mastermind of the Oct. 7, 2023 atrocities by Hamas.

Sirens wailed in northern Israel on Saturday mornings as Hezbollah launched rockets from Lebanon while Israeli forces launched air strikes against Hamas strongholds in Gaza.

But as the Iran-backed proxies continued their violence, Israel scored another major blow against one of their commanders. Israel said Saturday it killed Nasser Rashid, Hezbollah’s deputy commander, in an attack in the south.

The wartime intensities came as Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei promised Hamas would continue its fight against Israel after the death of its leader and Oct. 7 mastermind Yahya Sinwar.

Netanyahu’s spokesman confirmed a drone was launched toward his house in Caesarea, but there were no casualties and neither the prime minister nor his wife were home at the time.

The Israel Defense Forces said the drone flew from Lebanon and "hit a structure in the area of Caesarea” but that two other drones were intercepted.
