A now-viral video shows Ottawa police aggressively arresting a 78-year-old man in pajama pants after he honked his car horn in support of the "Freedom Convoy" of Canadian truckers protesting COVID-19 mandates.

The Toronto Sun identified the man as Gerry Charlebois, a 4-foot-10-inches tall great-grandfather and retired high school janitor. He is also double vaccinated and plans on getting his booster shot.

He said he "was in shock" when he was pulled over. "I mean no harm," Charlebois told the Sun. "I just gave the trucker a thumbs-up and a honk."

He told the Sun in an interview Tuesday that he is still sore from being wrestled to the ground, and he was given a $118 "unnecessary noise" ticket.

His family had to take him to the hospital after the incident.

"I find it disgusting," Charlebois's son Gerald told the Sun. "There was no need to be so rough with him."
