Thousands gather in Niamey for pro-coup, anti-sanctions rally
Thousands of people took to the streets of Niger's capital city on Thursday. They were there to support the military coup that deposed the country's democratically elected president. The rally was also aimed at protesting against sanctions slapped on Niger by west African countries that want the coup to end.
