Texas spends over $12mil to bus migrants to New York & DC, expecting FEMA to foot the bill
The city of El Paso, Texas has chartered four buses in the past week to take undocumented migrants who volunteer to New York. City leaders expect the federal government to foot the bill. El Paso's busing program is not connected to a similar program launched by Texas governor Greg Abbott to bus migrants to Washington, DC, and New York. State officials said Tuesday more than 12 million dollars has been spent on that program. El Paso leaders also say they expect their transportation costs to be reimbursed by the Federal Emergency Management Agency.
