Mass shooting in downtown Orlando leaves 2 dead, 6 injured
The suspect has been detained
A mass shooting in downtown Orlando left 2 people dead and 6 injured on Friday.
The first round of shots were fired at 1:07 a.m. on Friday morning, according to according to Orlando Police Chief Eric Smith.
A second round of shots followed minutes later.
Police arrested a 17-year-old suspect and took them into custody. Smith said the suspect was previously been arrested for grand theft last year.
The 6 people who were injured are in stable condition, police said.
