State Sec. Blinken addresses CDC Director Rochelle Walensky’s resignation announcement
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Director Dr. Rochelle Walensky announced her resignation during a staff meeting at the agency’s headquarters in Atlanta on Friday. Secretary of State Antony Blinken said it was a coincidence he happened to be visiting the headquarters on the day of her announcement, but lauded her “extraordinary” leadership during her nearly two-and-a-half-year tenure.
