Mexican Navy says they intercepted a semi-submersible carrying over 3.5 tons of cocaine

The Mexican Navy intercepted days ago a semi-submersible that had more than three tons of suspected cocaine on board, the institution informed on Thursday, adding that the Coast Guard detained five individuals of different nationalities. The authorities explained in a statement that the vessel is 26 meters long - 85 feet -, with two internal engines, an average speed of eight knots and an autonomy of 20 days. It was intercepted on June 27th.
