EHRC dismisses Poland's abortion restrictions case

Europe's highest human rights court has ruled against a group of Polish women who claimed their rights were violated by Poland's near-total abortion ban. In a unanimous decision Thursday, the European Court of Human Rights dismissed the applications of eight women in the case of A.M. and Others v. Poland, who claimed their lives could be at risk because of lack of access to legal abortion in the case of fetal abnormalities.
