President Donald Trump on Tuesday highlighted his slew of executive orders during his first week in office, confidently asserting that "American decline is over" and that the nation's "golden age" had begun.

"In a single week, I've taken over 350 executive actions," he said. "On day one, I directed every member of my cabinet to marshal all powers at their disposal to defeat inflation and bring down the cost of daily life."

He further indicated that Americans would begin to see reductions in costs as his energy-related orders kicked in.

Trump's first week marked one of the largest exercises of executive authority in recent presidential history as he speedily reversed most of President Joe Biden's orders and reimplemented those from his first term.

He went several steps further, however, and has moved to implement mass deportations and create a new Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).
