As President Donald Trump makes diplomatic overtures to Moscow, Tehran, and Beijing, he appears somewhat unconcerned about the three nations' increasing military cooperation.

Russia, China, and Iran are conducting joint military exercises this week in the Gulf of Oman, for an annual set of drills. When pressed on whether he viewed the matter as concerning, Trump told reporters "not at all."

Along with North Korea, those three nations have drawn closer in recent years amid conflicts like the Ukraine War and the Israel-Hamas War. The increasingly cohesive bloc of American adversaries has led to warnings from the intelligence community about "complex threats" it presents.

Trump's remarks, however, come as his diplomats and Ukrainian officials are set to meet in Saudi Arabia to discuss negotiations to end the Russian invasion.

Tensions between Washington and Kyiv have been high in recent weeks following a disastrous meeting at the Oval Office that led to the removal of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
