Larry Hogan resigned No Labels chairmanship last month: Report
Both Hogan and West Virginia Democratic Sen. Joe Manchin have been suggested as potential standard bearers for the movement.
Former Maryland GOP Gov. Larry Hogan reportedly resigned the chairmanship of No Labels in December, the Associated Press reported, citing his resignation letter.
No Labels is an organization advocating for an alternative to the two primary political parties in the United States and has attracted considerable speculation surrounding its potential support of a presidential contender.
"In stepping aside, it is my intent that new leaders, who can devote themselves full-time to the effort, will be able to take the helm to direct the No Labels political operation," Hogan said.
Both Hogan and West Virginia Democratic Sen. Joe Manchin have been suggested as potential standard bearers for the movement. Hogan, a stalwart critic of former President Donald Trump, opted against seeking the GOP nomination himself.
His resignation letter, however, has attracted speculation that he could ultimately serve as the No Labels candidate.
