On eve of primary, Trump up 25 points over Haley in her home state: polls
Trump currently boasts 61.8% support in the Palmetto State.
With the South Carolina Republican primary slated for Saturday, former President Donald Trump appears poised to claim a decisive victory over former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley in the state she once governed.
Trump currently boasts 61.8% support in the Palmetto State, according to the RealClearPolitics state average. Haley, for her part, claims an average 36.5%.
Haley governed South Carolina from 2011 until 2017, when she accepted a post in Trump's cabinet. She has yet to win any state contest and lost the Nevada Republican primary to "none of these candidates" in a race that did not feature Trump.
Nationwide, Trump's lead is much stronger, with him leading Haley by an average 57.9%, with a total of 74.8% support to Haley's 16.9%.
