The bill passed a procedural vote the same day it was introduced, after border security measures were removed and Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., said he’d oversee a fair process on amendments if the Senate moved the bill forward.
“If it truly is open for amendments, there will be an amendment – and I will bring one on,” Barrasso told The Hill.
