Stefanik reports record $10 million in 2021 fundraising, ahead of this year's midterm
Stefanik has proven herself to be a key fundraising figure within GOP ranks as the party fights to reclaim control of Washington
House GOP Conference Chairwoman Rep. Elise Stefanik raised $10 million in 2021, adding to congressional Republicans' campaign coffers as they try to win control the chamber in November.
The Stefanik reelection campaign says the New York congresswoman's haul is the most every brought in during a non-election year for North Country New York.
"I am proud of my growing support from thousands of grassroots patriots in the North Country who have donated to my campaign," said Stefanik, the House's No. 3 Republican. "I’m excited ... for our critical effort to flip the House and finally retire Nancy Pelosi.
Pelosi, a California Democrat and House speaker, who announced earlier this week that she will seek another term to lead the chamber's Democrat conference.
In addition to the $10 million raised by Team Elise, Stefanik's efforts yielded $5 million in donations during the final quarter of 2021 for Elise for Congress, E-PAC, Elise Victory Fund, and via WinRed for targeted GOP candidates, according to the campaign.
Stefanik at a recent Mar-a-Lago fundraiser with former President Trump brought in more than $3 million.
Across the country GOP candidates have been bringing in record fundraising figures for this year's midterms, with primaries starting in just a few month.
Republicans are expected to reclaim control of the House and be competitive in efforts to win the majority in an evenly split Senate.
